Plastic Vacuum Forming - Thermoforming
Due to customer request Peliton Plastics is actively pursuing the possibility of expanded it's capabilities to include vacuum forming. Many of our customer's projects require injection molding for their product and vacuum forming for the packaging or additional parts.
Vacuum forming is a manufacturing process where a plastic sheet is heated to a pliable temperature, formed by vacuum to a specific shape, and trimmed to create a usable product. The plastic sheet is heated in an oven to a high-enough temperature that it can be stretched into or onto a mold and cooled to a finished Shape.
Vacuum forming differs from injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, and other forms of processing plastics. Vacuum forming includes parts as diverse as blister packs, vehicle door and dash panels, refrigerator liners, utility vehicle beds, and plastic pallets. |
